In which I wish my dad a happy birthday and find an old friend
Today is my dad’s birthday. I really don’t pay attention to the anniversary of his death. The anniversary of his birth, Father’s Day, and Christmas are happier times and more of a celebration of his life and who he was. I think that’s much more in keeping with the person that he was.
I got off the phone this evening and flipped on the TV. The first thing I saw was Linus in the Pumpkin patch. Ahh, It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, how I’ve missed you. A very pleasant evening so far…
Happy birthday Fred Berkvam. Thinking of you today as well.
